Conference on Translating Preclinical Research into Clinical Excellence

From June 12–14, 2024, the conference Novel Perspectives of Thrombolysis: Translating Preclinical Research into Clinical Excellence was organized in Telč. This event welcomed prominent international scientists who presented their work on stroke research using animal models.

Professor Dong-Eog Kim from Dongguk University in Seoul was the keynote lecturer. His presentation showed how the explored CCR2 Knockout Reduces Arterial Thrombus Volume and Facilitates tPA-mediated Thrombolysis, highlighting its essential role in neurovascular inflammation during hemorrhagic transformations.

The conference program featured ten presentations across four thematic sessions:

  • Molecular Mechanisms and Protein Engineering
  • Advanced In Vitro and In Vivo Models
  • Nanoparticles in Stroke Treatment
  • Novel Targets and Approaches to Stroke Therapy

Senior researcher Anna Rosell from Institut de Recerca Hospital Vall d’Hebron in Barcelona concluded the first day with her lecture on endovascular delivery of biocompatible magnetized therapeutic carriers for targeted brain delivery.

The conference ended with a panel discussion, which allowed participants to interact directly with the invited international experts. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all participants for their active involvement and contributions to the event’s success. This conference was supported by the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic under program project no.
