Animal Center and Preclinical Phenotyping Facility Workshop in Brno
Between March 7th–9th, Animal Center of FNUSA-ICRC and Preclinical Phenotyping Facility of VBCF hosted a workshop in Brno on cognitive and behavioral screening of rodents and how to apply the 3Rs policy. Twenty-one speakers were invited, and around 30 regular participants registered. The event was divided into four sessions: 3Rs policy and animal welfare in behavioral research, Neuroscience, Mice metabolism, Equipment/technology for rodent phenotyping. Participants had a chance not only to learn more about newest findings from rodent in-vivo research and attend constructive discussions with experts from the field, but also to share each other´s experiences, establish new collaborations and familiarize themselves with the newest equipment measuring rodent behavior available on market. The workshop was a part of the activities within the RIAT-CZ project (no. ATCZ40) supported by Interreg V-A Austria – Czech Republic programme.
